Remove excess snow. 2. Spread icemelter evenly over surface at a rate of 50-100 g per sq. meter (1/4 to 1/2 cup per sq. yd.) 3. Allow icemelter to break down ice bond. 4. Remove all remaining ice & slush. Note - icemelter may be applied at the beginning of a storm to prevent hard ice accumulation.
